UID Aadhaar Cards Enrollment Camps in Gujarat

The Government of Gujarat has launched its own separate unique identity (UID) project for all the people residing in Gujarat. The initiative was taken by the Gujarat Government after finding that the Government of India’s Aadhaar UID Cards issue project is progressing in a snail’s pace. The cards to be issued under Gujarat Govt’s project will feature and provide details of the individuals same as under the Aadhaar Unique ID cards. All the people in Gujarat will be issued a separate number and will be collected details such as their BPL status, income tax payments, permanent residential address, property ownership including land, houses and vehicles and also reservation details if any.

Important government departments in the state, civil supplies and revenue are formulating the modalities for the implementation of the project. The civil supplies department will provide database like ration cards and the revenue department will provide remaining details. Initially the project will be implemented in one village in every taluka and will be extended to other towns and urban areas gradually.

The Government of Gujarat is contemplating to introduce biometric system in implementing the schemes through UID cards. Beneficiaries of all Government schemes including ration from public distribution shops will be identified through UID biometric cards. The project is likely to be completed by early 2012. Interestingly, the Government of India owned National Informatics Centre (NIC) is providing the required software and technical support for the implementation of the UID project of Gujarat Government.

Meanwhile, enrollment process and issue of Aadhaar UID cards is also running on the other side. The project is being implemented in Ahmedabad city along with other district head quarters. IE9 User? You’ll Love ‘Pinning’ Your Blog

If you use the new Internet Explorer 9 beta (IE9) on Windows 7 and have a blog on WordPress.com, you should definitely check out some cool new features.

First, not only do the charts on your stats page load faster — thanks to new canvas element support in IE9 — but each WordPress.com site also includes a high-res icon for your browser, taskbar, or shortcuts. Once you start using IE9, you’ll find this icon comes in handy when you want to “pin” a blog.

Pinning? Yes, Pinning!

Wait, just what is pinning, you may be asking? It’s actually quite simple and a lot like bookmarking but on your computer instead of in the browser. Once pinned, you can launch your blog right from your Windows taskbar. A handy context menu lets you access some of your most common tasks such as adding a new post or moderating comments, with a single click. You also can pin a friend’s blog to stay up-to-date on their latest posts.

To get started, the first thing you need to do is download Internet Explorer 9 while using Windows 7. Let’s take a look at how things unfold from there, interesting.

When you sign in to your blog, you can pin your own site and get extra tasks that make blogging easier and faster. A logged-in user can quickly access links to their dashboard to write a new post, moderate comments, upload a new file, or view blog statistics. (Each task only appears if the user has that task’s capability, such as site administrator’s.) A custom list also displays up to 5 latest posts for the current blog context.

You can pin someone else’s blog, too. When you do, an icon appears that lets you subscribe to the blog feed, signup for a free blog, read Freshly Pressed, and access WordPress.com Support and forums.

How to Pin

This is simple:  Just visit a blog in a IE9 tab, grab the tab, and drop it onto the taskbar at the bottom of your desktop. When you pin a site it will either show up as a large WordPress logo or as your own Blavatar if you’ve uploaded one.

P.S.: You can learn more about IE9 on Microsoft’s Internet Explorer blog (hosted on WordPress.com!)

Auto Scrolling DIV tags, website Layout

I’d like to be able to automatically scroll the DIV to the bottom when you add stuff to it.

<div id=”divid” style=”overflow: auto; height: 150px; width: 100%;”>
lorem ipsum lorem ipsum lorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsum lorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsumlorem ipsum lorem ipsum

</div>

As your page contents increases, it will auto display scroll within a division area of page.

Hope it helps !

WAMP and Skype issue, Solution for you

I have come to know about the conflict between Skype and WampServer,  which I thought to share. Both installations use port 80 which causes the problem/conflict. If you run Skype before running Wamp, then Apache will not start even. If you go to a site on localhost, you will probably get a blank screen.

Linking India to superbug unfair and wrong, says India

New Delhi, Aug 12 (IANS) India Thursday termed as unfair and wrong linking a multiple drug-resistant superbug detected in Britain to India saying a number of such bacteria have also been reported from other countries.
